Signing of ACFTA 3.0 UpgradeHis Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah welcomed more exchanges to foster mutual trust, respect, and understanding among the people, and further welcomed the 2026 ASEAN-China Year to mark the Fifth Anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. His Majesty made the titah while attending the 28th ASEAN-China Summit held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Before attending the summit, His Majesty attended the Signing Ceremony of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area 3.0 Upgrade. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen.

His Majesty, in a titah, reflected the U.N.'s centrality in humanity's progress for eight decades, reducing extreme poverty and hunger, and advancing public health and global cooperation. As the world faces complex and interconnected challenges, ASEAN efforts must complement the agenda set by the U.N., including addressing the global threat of climate change. His Majesty encouraged the U.N. and the ASEAN Centre for Climate Change to work closer to advance ASEAN's climate ambitions and achieve a sustainable and resilient future for all.
